  8. The cognac was really the result of the vanilla and knowing I love the pairing - and I was a little hesitant to put it into breakfast food. But as John pointed out to me, there's probably more alcohol in the extract than the cognac I used ;) As for the coconut oil, I don't use virgin although it would be better for me. But I don't think a strong coconut flavor would be a bad thing at all here with the granola...
